The Clarksdale (MS) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was the vision of brothers from Coahoma and Quitman Counties who desired to serve citizens of their communities. It had long been the dream of these young Kappa men to return to the Mississippi Delta, particularly Coahoma and Quitman Counties, and improve the quality of life of its citizens. During the early stages around 2011, several meetings were held in an attempt to organize a chapter. Then in 2015, numerous brothers from the area desired to assist students of Coahoma Community College by contributing to the college’s annual foundation scholarship fundraiser.
