Bro. Christopher Turner named Administrator of the Year

Brother Christopher Turner, Principal of Robert L. Merritt Jr. High School, is a 5^th year administrator who constantly strives to advance his himself, staff members, and students in the world of education. Just a few years ago, he took on the daunting task of changing the trajectory of a school that has been underperforming for several years. He was able to make the necessary changes with staff members, procedures, and expectations to take his school to successful status. His passion for educating students and his will to win propels him forward in school administration. As a result of Brother Turner’s vision for his school and his perseverance, he now has a successful school for the past 3 years. He also was named District Administrator of the Year 2020-21 school term. Brother Christopher Turner just recently completed Prospective Superintendent’s Leader Academy with MSBA placing him in line to become the next Superintendent. Brother Turner is a Spring 2004 initiate of Nu Eta Chapter, and currently serves as Clarksdale (MS) Alumni Chapter’s Vice Polemarch and Guide Right Advisor.
